The Story

To us, a life well-lived has always meant a healthy disrespect for the norm. We believe that life's memorable moments usually involve a healthy ration of perspiration and more than a pinch of risk. It's the matriarch charge with a herd of elephants somewhere south of Nairobi. It's a pre-dawn hike in the bayou to the duck blind once favored by your grandfather. It's a day on your own, or with close friends, without room service or bottle service or limo service. It is these moments that make a life. This belief runs deep through our veins, without compromise.
A life well lived.
A life well lived.
Craftsmanship From the Ends of the Earth
In an uncompromising effort to offer a collection of extraordinary quality, we have searched the globe to find the very best craftsmen and artisans. This has proved to be a challenge in this age of mass production but we will be relentless in our quest to have the finest. From the far reaches of Africa to the coast of Ireland to Savile Row in London, these materials and craftsmanship have endured the test of time. And will do so for years to come. We refuse to offer anything that is not authentic - from fit to comfort, our collection is time-tested and is one that will live with you for life.
Why We Do This
I believe in the quality of an artisan product. It is evident that this is becoming more rare as every day passes. In our travels we have found that this quality is still alive. Our quest has brought us to some remarkable pockets of the world, and to people who not only share our enthusiasm for the almost lost artisan ways, but have also given us tremendous support. From the Hurt family in Tanzania and their passion to bring the benefits of conservation to the community of the Masaii, to our friend Tarlach de Blàcam on the island of Inis Meàin where he is carrying on the centuries old tradition of knitting in Ireland. We are driven to bring this quality and craftsmanship to our customers, from the finest cashmeres in Scotland, to English saddle leathers, to our horn buttons made in Italy. We hope you share our appreciation for quality and attention to detail, along with our passion for the outdoors.
